What are Dairy Powder Blends?

Simply put, they are alternatives to commodity. Not all commodity dairy ingredients can be substituted for a blend such as whey powder, WPC 34, and lactose, but we have developed cost saving blends of WMP, nonfat dry milk, and buttermilk powder, as well as high acid buttermilk powder, yogurt powder, Greek yogurt powder, and sour cream powder. These blends were developed as a one-for-one replacer to their commodity counterparts. High Quality and functionality at a savings.

Incorporating blends into the ingredient mix is a way to reduce cost as much as 20% while maintaining and/or improving the quality of the food product.

Blends are used in a multitude of food applications including beverages, baked goods, bakery mixes, sauces, gravies, dips, confection, salad dressings, pancake mix, waffle mix, ice cream, breads, biscuits, soups, sport nutrition, and just about any food application in which dairy powders are needed.
